We're looking for a talented Cost Project Controller II to join our dedicated team.

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Springtide headquarters are located in Albany, NY. This role supports multiple semiconductor construction and tool installation projects across the United States. 

In this role, you will support all phases of the project costs and schedule reporting using the most current industry practices and software. You will work under the supervision of Senior Controllers and Project Managers to integrate with engineering, procurement, cost, schedule, technical & construction disciplines for seamless reporting to ensure effective project delivery.

Key Activities: 

Project Life Cycle Considerations:

1. Design
1. Labor hours and cost tracking worksheet
2. Deliverables tracking worksheet
3. Regular collaboration with PM, Discipline Leads and Discipline Engineers to ensure accuracy of reports.
2. Estimating
1. When estimate is used for bid package budgeting the project controller is expected to collaborate with the team and understand how it is being conducted.  Will assist with PNR/BRR updates and be responsible to accurately update all reports to align across platforms.
3. Bidding
1. Support PM & Procurement Manager for updating reports/systems which perform comparisons to budget. 
4. Contracts
1.  Assist with converting bid breakdown to SOVs, understand the scope of all contracts and line items in general.
5. Execution Planning, Tracking, Invoicing
1. Cost Report Development and Presentation-Procore, PowerBI, UDF
2. Spend Plan Development, Updating and Presentation
3. Dashboards and custom reporting setup/management
4. All are performed in collaboration with PM & team.
6. Closeout

General

• Work in a highly collaborative and dynamic project environment with a positive impact.
• Assist estimating, procurement and project management on project scope coordination, work package definition, contract development and bid analysis as directed by Project Manager.
• Collaborate with all groups to improve company processes, systems and intellectual infrastructure to promote organizational learning and continuous improvement.
  
  

Invoicing

• Support project team to agree contractor SOVs and certify progress, invoicing & payment.
• Follow-on collaborations with accounting to ensure alignment of project invoices with current funding and billings to client.
• Insure appropriate back-up documentation for all phases.
  
  

Change Management

• Actively support the change control process. Assist with cost trends & changes with follow-on validation & agreement of pricing. Process Changer Orders for approval and incorporation into contracts.
• Reporting
• Assist in operation of integrated cost reporting platform. Produce detailed cost reports, including budgets, changes, commits (POs), spends, anticipated costs and forecast.  Review cost system data integrity to ensure accuracy of overall project forecast.
• Assist and support processes for project budgeting, invoicing, change control and cost forecasting for the entire engineering, procurement, construction and qualification (EPCQ) life cycle.
• Ability to produce effective visualization, graphics & outputs for team communication.
• Assist with update to projections on cash flows, staffing plans & contingency usage.
• Collaborate and assist on alignment of cost & schedule data. 

Schedule

• Assist with schedule progress reports, trending charts and schedule analysis.
• Development of schedule will be performed by Scheduler which is a separate role from this role. 
  
  

Closeout

• Support PM and staff with all necessary closeout activities.
• At project completion, record the project’s historical cost information and “lessons learned” as directed

The salary offered for this role is between $77,000 and $118,000, but the actual salary offered is dependent on experience, skill set, and education.

• 3-6 years of professional Cost Project Controls experience
• Experience supporting semiconductor construction and/or tool installation projects 
• BS degree in engineering or a related technical field, construction management, or applicable experience.
• Strong analytical and computer skills.
• Experience with data management and reporting tools (MS Excel, MS Access, Power BI, etc.)
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage large amounts of information to effectively meet deadlines.
• Strong initiative and the ability to work independently while supporting multiple projects simultaneously. Proven ability to proactively pursue information, collaborate across project teams, and ensure timely and accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to financial ERP systems is desirable.
