At Springtide, a division of IPS, a Berkshire Hathaway company, we listen, understand, and lean into complex challenges to unlock new solutions and realize opportunities with our partners. Distinguished by our agility, creativity, expertise, and owner’s perspective, we deliver faster time-to-market and longer-lasting value, enabling you to do more.

We are looking for a talented Site Logistics Lead (Semiconductor Construction) to join our dedicated team at our project site located in Santa Clara, California.

In this role, you will own the strategic development and execution of the Tool Install Site Logistics Plan for a semiconductor FAB new build, supporting project ramp-up and the logistics requirements of up to 500 trade personnel across multiple contractor organizations. Lead the planning and coordination of workforce infrastructure and services, including parking, canteens, welfare facilities, toilets, access, badging, security, space allocation, and temporary facilities, ensuring capacity is aligned with construction schedules and operational priorities.

Lead end-to-end construction and Tool Install logistics planning, including resource forecasting, long-lead material management, material flow and staging, and critical tool move-in/move-out activities within the FAB. Provide strategic oversight of logistics infrastructure, enabling works, contractor scopes, procurement, and commercial approvals while coordinating with Tool Install, Operations, Security, trade partners, and other stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and schedule-driven project delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development and execution of the overall site logistics strategy, including resource forecasting, inductions, badging, parking, access, material movement, temporary facilities, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Own logistics planning and integration across Tool Install and construction activities, ensuring logistics requirements are aligned with project schedules, operational priorities, and CLIENT site plans.
  • Lead site space planning and allocation, coordinating with CLIENT stakeholders, Operations, contractors, and other projects to manage work areas, laydowns, storage, lockers, material staging, cable drums, spools, and contractor support facilities.
  • Develop and manage site-wide waste, water, and cleaning strategies, including forecasting, service coordination, vendor management, waste flows, water supply, gownroom services, consumables, and cleanliness requirements for Fab, Subfab, Fan Deck, and common areas.
  • Plan, establish, and maintain critical logistics routes and infrastructure, including Silver Highways, pedestrian routes, material access points, prefabrication move-in routes, pass-throughs, docks, and tool movement pathways.
  • Provide leadership for temporary facilities and construction support infrastructure, including temporary gownrooms, high-purity bending areas, huddle areas, whiteboard stations, Last Planner rooms, clocking locations, and other project support requirements.
  • Act as the senior logistics Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for construction and Tool Install activities, proactively resolving logistical constraints, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and managing escalations to protect project schedule and productivity.
  • Drive cross-project logistics integration and stakeholder coordination, ensuring space, access, sequencing, material movement, and logistics requirements are effectively coordinated across multiple contractors, projects, Operations teams, and building levels.
  • Oversee logistics governance, daily site controls, and contractor compliance, including monitoring allocated areas, maintaining clear access routes, managing quarantine cages and Tag & Drag activities, and ensuring logistics standards are consistently maintained.
  • Own logistics closeout and area handover processes, including contractor area hand backs, Bay/Chase handover systems, dock coordination, and ensuring project spaces are transitioned to CLIENT Operations safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; equivalent industry experience may be considered
  • 5+ years of experience in construction logistics and site management on large semiconductor projects
  • Proven ability to coordinate logistics requirements for large-scale tool installation, equipment move-in/move-out, material staging, laydown management, and workforce infrastructure.
